Floors take more abuse than anything else in your home, and old floors show every year of it. New flooring changes how a whole level looks and feels, often more than paint does.
The finished basement room above is one of ours: new plank flooring wall to wall, with clean baseboards to finish. A floor only looks that good when the subfloor under it is flat, so prep is where we spend our time.

Installed flooring with T&T runs from $300 for a small room in vinyl plank or laminate to $9,000 for a larger area in engineered hardwood, before HST.

We price flooring by the job, since the room, the subfloor and the material all change the number. Vinyl plank and laminate run $300 to $5,000 installed, engineered hardwood runs $600 to $9,000 and tile runs $1,000 to $5,000. Removing the old floor adds $600 to $2,500. Prices are before HST, and a free in-home quote gives you the exact number.
What is the best flooring for a basement?
Vinyl plank is the usual pick for basements because it handles moisture far better than laminate or solid hardwood. It is also warmer and quieter underfoot than tile. We will tell you what suits your basement once we see it.
How long does it take to install flooring in a room?
One room takes about 1 day. A full main floor or a basement takes about 1 week. You get a clear timeline with your written quote, and we stick to it.
Do you remove the old flooring?
Yes. Removing and disposing of the old floor runs $600 to $2,500 depending on the material and the area. Fixing the subfloor under it before the new floor goes down is part of the job.
Can new flooring go over my existing floor?
Sometimes. Some floating floors can go over a flat, solid existing floor. The catch is height: doors, transitions and stairs have to line up. We check this on the first visit.
