How much does fence installation cost in Halton, Hamilton or Niagara?
Fences are priced per foot, so the length of the run, the height and the number of gates and corners set the price. Gates run $150 to $350 each, and taking out and disposing of an old fence runs $1,000 to $2,000. Prices are before HST, and a free in-home quote gives you the exact number.
How much does it cost to build a deck?
A new deck usually runs $4,000 to $20,000, depending on the size, the height, stairs and railings. If the frame is sound, a refinish with cleaning, sanding and stain runs $500 to $3,000. Prices are before HST.
Do I need a permit to build a deck in Halton, Hamilton or Niagara?
Often, yes. Most municipalities in Halton, Hamilton and Niagara require a building permit for a deck that is more than about 60 cm (2 feet) off the ground, and the rules vary by town and by lot. We check the requirements for your address before we build.
How long does fence installation take?
Most fences take 2 to 5 days on site. A deck refinish takes 2 to 3 days, and a new deck takes 1 to 2 weeks. You get a clear timeline with your written quote, and we stick to it.
Should I refinish or replace my deck?
Refinish it if the frame and posts are solid and only the boards look tired. Replace it if the frame is rotting, the deck moves when you walk on it or the railings are loose. We check the frame and tell you which one makes sense.
